History

This town was or is so haunted that the town has a annual "Ghost Days." Check with the city for their annual Ghost Days activities. Usually their is one place that is haunted in a small town but instead the whole town is haunted especially Ridge Road. Ridge road is very interesting because it is the site of a headless phantom, an old woman, young woman, ball of fire and a whole slew of animals including a pig. The thing that is interesting about all these apparitions is that they attack people traveling on Ridge Road, so much so that armed guards us to accompany travelers along Ridge Road. A phantom was seen on Ridge Road between Mineral Point and Blue Mounds. The whole town seems connected to these hauntings. I went into a bar and the patrons had quite a few interesting stories to tell. One bar even had a book made documenting some activity around town. Other places in town are reported haunted which include the Catholic church, McKillip's Saloon, Messerschmidt Hotel and the cemetery. This town is a must see.teletype text
